In 2027 our next fundraising event will be our inaugural charity awards event like no other.
Nominate a key worker who went above and beyond to help you in your healthcare journey - and every single valid nomination will receive an award of recognition at our family fundraising awards event in 2027.
Did someone stand out whilst you were receiving medical care?
Nominate them to be recognised for going beyond.
An Awards Ceremony like never before - With NO LIMIT to the number of winners...
all nominations are people who work in healthcare and all nominations will receive a Beyond Recognition Award.
We want to recognise and share the people in healthcare who went above and beyond for their patients (you).
But there should be no overall winners.
Our charity is always about inclusivity and equality, inspiring and encouraging with messages of hope and strength.
Which is why our Awards Ceremony will be like no other.
Every valid nomination will receive the BRA. Everyone is invited to our family friendly awards event in 2027.
So often we don't get the chance to say thank you or tell someone that their moment in your journey as a patient made a huge impact.
As a patient you encounter so many healthcare staff. Sometimes one person (HCS, nurse, doctor, phyio) says or does something, going that extra mile or finding just the right words....that made a huge difference to you.

All the nominations will be included anonymously in a powerful book that will be on sale to fundraise for our charity support services.
An incredible book of humans going above and beyond to help others, the and value, appreciation and impact those acts of kindness and care made to someone at their most vulnerable.
The Award, The Event, The Exhibition, The Book
BEYOND RECOGNITION
A month long campaign raising awareness of the power of human connection, recognition of healthcare professionals and awareness of how valuable support can be. Fundraising for the charity, using art for change, and providing a spotlight to those who went above and beyond.
The Award
All valid nominations will receive the award:
Certificate of recognition
Beyond Recognition Award PIN - A metal pin for their lanyard
This is a unique award to recognise and acknowledge the outstanding care given by healthcare staff. Decided by the most important people - you the patients. The award is about care and compassion and the impact even a small act of kindness can make in a patient's journey.
The Event
The Beyond Recognition Awards Event will be held in Summer 2027. Open to everyone, a family friendly afternoon celebration to share the awards and fundraise for our charity. An inspiring day bringing together patients and healthcare staff to show appreciation and celebrate care that goes above and beyond.
A wonderful day celebrating the power of human support and a reminder of how important patient-focused care is within healthcare.
The Book
All nominations will include a short description of what the person being nominated did and how that made a difference to the patient nominating. These stories will be anonymised and put together in a book produced and sold by the charity with all funds going towards the charity to fund our support services.
The Exhibition
To celebrate the Beyond Recognition Awards - the charity will host our second unique art exhibition. A digital exhibition that will run for a month online - with 100 artworks submitted inspired by the theme of human support and connection. All artworks will be auctioned to raise funds for the charity.
HOW TO NOMINATE
All you need to do is complete the form below to nominate. Include a short paragraph of why that person made a difference - who they were, what they did, what it meant to you.
Entry is free, with an optional £2 donation to help support the charity.
TERMS:
- Nominate any person who works in healthcare (GP, community, private, hospital). They must be a registered volunteer or employee associated with a healthcare organisation. Any role (nurse, doctor, porter, HCA etc) is eligible for nomination. This constitutes a valid nomination.
- The person you are nominating must have made a difference/been involved in your care as a patient. You can't nominate a colleague unless you were a patient under their care.
- You must not be related to the person you are nominating.
- Share as much details about the place they work for us to contact them.
- Share a short description of who they were, what they did and what it meant to you.
- All nominations will be anonymised and included in a book which will be produced and sold by the charity with all proceeds fundraising for our support services. Copyright and IP belongs to the charity.
- You are strongly encouraged to attend the Awards event which will be a family friend fun daytime fundraising event, but this is not compulsory.
- Valid nominees will be invited to the Awards event where they will receive their award (certificate of recognition, an award metal pin to wear on their landyard at work).
- There is no cash value/prize for awards, and the charity retains the right to reject any nominations it feels does not meet the above criteria.
- There is no restriction on nominations, all valid nominations receive up until the closing date will be included.
We will contact all nominees in the Spring 2027.
The event is due Summer 2027, date to be confirmed by January 2027.
