SPECIAL EPISODE - FACING HOSPICE CARE WITH CONTROL
WITH VOICE NO.1 AMY

If you can relate to any of these topics and are in need of help, support or guidance - we have multiple resources available including a support line.

ABOVE

This first episode was our first ever interview for the Scars Of Gold campaign, recorded in March 2024. Amy shares at the time living with secondary breast cancer and sarcoma.

BELOW

This episode was a second interview in Autumn 2024 when Amy's cancer was too advanced and Amy had moved to hospice care. Amy was a Trustee for the charity and a huge advocate for engaging with palliative care and familiarising with the hospice years before needing them as a way of regaining control. Her interview within the hospice was the most downlaoded episode of the entire campaign - it captures how (in Amy's words) there can be beauty found in dying, with control. Amy wanted to show that control, peace and beauty was possible.
